Internet marketer Bert Gould dies at 52

Marketing specialist Bert Gould, who held positions at Showtime, Fox Broadcasting, Marvel Entertainment and Comedy Central, among other entertainment industry companies, died in Glen Ridge, N.J., on February. 14 following a lengthy fight with cancer. He was 52.Gould began in marketing with jobs at r / c in NY and Miami, resulting in management positions at Showtime and also the Movie Funnel. In 1990, Fox Broadcasting employed him to assist launch the Fox Kids programming block around the Fox Network, which incorporated the development of "Mighty Morphin' Energy Rangers."He did a stint as professional Vice president of promoting for Marvel Entertainment and offered as senior marketing consultant for that Classic Sports Network (now ESPN Classic).At Comedy Central, where he was senior Vice president of promoting and start up business development, Gould assisted lead the network in to the digital age with ComedyCentral.com and oversaw the certification program for that "South Park" series and movie, which produced retail sales in excess of $500 million.In 2004 Gould and partner Joe Owens founded their very own event marketing firm, Entertainment & Sports Intl.Gould seemed to be producer from the Toyota Comedy Festival in NY.
