Susan Sarandon Calls the Pope a 'Nazi' at Hamptons Worldwide Film Festival

Despite little media coverage, the Hamptons Worldwide Film Festival might have been the region being in the last weekend. Not only did Alec Baldwin and Matthew Broderick discuss the late and great Marlon Brando (among many other things), nevertheless the fest was occasion for Susan Sarandon to put her ft squarely in their mouth with techniques that can make Lars Von Trier proud. The Academy Award-winning actress referred to as Pope Benedict XVI a 'Nazi.' While being asked by actor Bob Balaban, Sarandon states she sent a replica of 'Dead Guy Walking,' which won her an Oscar for top Actress in 1995, for the Pope. "The ultimate one," she mentioned, according to NY Newsday, "not this Nazi one we've.In . When Balaban attempted simply to walk her in the remarks, Sarandon apparently bending lower and repeated the slur. Furthermore to people inflammatory remarks, Sarandon also shown her support for Occupy Wall Street, joining an growing chorus of stars to get this done, including Sean Penn and Mark Ruffalo.
